Biography

Helene began vocal lessons aged 11 with the late Dahl McNulty.While training with the Mcnultys she was a member of The Austin Singers who sang in Irelands most prestigious venues,including The Bank Of Ireland Arts Centre, Dublin Castle and The NCH many times.The choir also recoeded a live album in the NCH and toured Budapest.
As a young soprano Helene was awarded many 1st prizes including overall vocal award in Arklow and Newpar.As a student of St Attractas primary school she took part in the Point Depot production of "Joseph" and performed on the Late Late Show.
 
Helene is a graduate and scholarship Student at the DIT Conservatory of music and Drama Rathmines...under the tutelage of Edith Forest and repetiteur Mary Scarlet.  After recently recieving distinction in the ATCL diploma, she is currently studying for the Trinity London Guildhall LTCL performance diploma. As a senior competitor Helene has won the overall vocal award Arklow and Newpark Feis,The Oratorio Cup and Interpretation Cup at Ballymena Music Festval,The Dermot Troy Trophy for mozart DIT 2008,the 2007 Soprano solo siemens feis ceoil,the 2008 Percy whitehead cup Siemens feis ceoil,The Oratorio cup and overall vocal award and lyric fm bursay Sligo Feis ceoil and most recently was a recipient of the Count John McCormack Society bursary.
 
Over the years Helene has  performed as guest soloist for choirs around Louth. Including a concert of sacred music with The Setanta Choir in St Patricks Cathedral Dudalk with repertoire including excerpts from Cavalleria Rusticana,and at The Setanta Christmas Concert in Dundalk Town Hall.From 2005 -2007 Helene enjoyed performing at many concerts with the St peters Male Voice Choir including a wonderful evening of song at Killsharvan house in aid of MS.Helene also took part in a concert in Dundrums Mill Theatre for St Atracctas primary school,and was interviewd and performed live on air for Martina Clarkes Dublin South FM.Most recently Helene gave a recital along with the other recipients Of the John McCormack bursary for the lord Mayor Of Dublin in the Mansion House oak room,and performed at the reception of the unveiling of the John McCormack Statue with Celtic Rose.

Recently,Helene understudied and played the role of Pamina in Mozart's "The Magic Flute" for a DIT production, and took part in the Opera Ireland production of Puccini's "Madama Butterfly"in the Gaeity theatre. Also as part of DIT's seasonal lunchtime opera series,she sang Adele's "Mein Herr Marquis" J.Strauss{Die Fledermaus}.
