Helene is a soprano from Dundrum in Dublin, now based in Drogheda Co. Louth. She is currently on the Advanced Vocal Studies Programme, under the tutelage of Colette McGahon-Tosh and Mary Scarlett at the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama. While studying with Edith Forrest, DIT, she gained a distinction in the LTCL Trinity London Diploma. As a young singer she trained with the late Daniel McNulty and was a member of the Austin Singers, who toured Budapest and performed in major concert venus around Ireland.As a student in St. Attractas Primary School she took part in the Point Depot poroduction of "Joseph".

As a competitor, she has been a multiple 1st prize winner throughout Ireland, including the following:
- Soprano Solo and Percy Whitehead Cups at the RDS Feis Ceoil;
- Dermot Troy Trophy for Mozart at DIT;
- Interpretation and Oratorio Cups at the Ballymena Festival;
- Overall Vocal Award at Newpark and Arklow Feis, and
- Overall Vocal Award with Lyric FM Bursary at Sligo Feis.

In 2008, the Count John McCormack Society awarded her a bursary and concert in the Mansion House Oak Room for the Lord Mayor of Dublin and later that year she was named "musician of the future" by the Glengould project. Recitals include the prestigious Boyle Arts Festival and several concerts with harp and cello duo Jade Strings in the National Gallery, Castletown House, Flatlake Festival, Co.Monaghan and the Cobalt Cafe for Nighthawks. Since 2005, Helene has been in great demand as Guest Soloist for several choirs around the country, including several performances with St. Peters' Male Voice Choir, Drogheda; Setanta Choir, Dundalk; Seafield Singers, Clontarf and The Cloghmore Male Voice Choir, Dundalk. In 2009 she was invited to sing for the prestigious male voice soloist group The Bohemians.

During her studies in DIT, she has played and covered the roles of: Pamina in the fully-staged production of "The Magic Flute" by Mozart; Donna Anna in "Don Giovanni" by Mozart and Adele in "Die Fledermauss" in excerpts from Opera. Recently, Helene played the role of Frasquita (and also covered the role of Michaela) in "Carmen" by Bizet produced by the Glastule Opera .
